About Me

Hi, I’m Afi Sesika. I’m 16 years old, and I’ve been moving to the rhythms of Africa since before I was born. With roots reaching across Ghana, Uganda, and beyond, I’ve experienced firsthand the incredible complexity of African music—a side of the continent that remains unexplored by many.

I am proud to be self-taught.  I’ve been learning traditional and contemporary moves in my living room, a journey that truly took flight when I was 11. That was the year I performed a Tanzanian-Congolese routine at my school’s Dance Gala, and I haven’t stopped since.

I believe African dance is a universal language. To me, it’s more than just choreography; it’s an expression of pure mental freedom. With its infectious drumbeats and vibrant energy, it truly is for everyone—whether you’ve been dancing for years or are just finding your feet.

My workshops are designed to be inclusive, high-energy, and deeply rooted in the diverse cultures of the continent. I can’t wait to dance with you and your school!
